senior portraits always felt foreign to me, probably since i didn't experience it myself, but now that i'm older i definitely see the value and importance of capturing such a special time in your life. i remember reading that you will never be as mature and serious about your life decisions as you are as an eighteen year old. i don't quite remember the source but i recall it having to do with graduating from high school and officially being "an adult" (at least in the USA) and ready to conquer the world/your future. i thought of it as odd when i first heard, but looking back at my senior year, i remember feeling that all the decisions i was making at that time would affect me for the rest of my life... hahaha needless to say, there was much more ahead than what i could have prepared myself for.
terri is the niece of one of my dearest friends and it was crazy to think that i had known her since she was in elementary(?!) school. you guys, she has such a beautiful spirit that you can't help but to be drawn to her and her infectious laughter.
*omg i'm so late in posting these bc she's actually in her third year of college now!
