late night flashback

I'm on a much needed super editing streak tonight -- and while taking a break I came across this picture of Bailey (our golden retriever) from August 2010. It seriously feels like it wasn't that long ago that he entered our lives, but it's already been two years (!!). I suppose dogs age as well because looking at this photo he definitely looked like a pup back then! haha

I'm currently reading Dale Carnegie's book and he briefly talks about how dogs are one of the only animals that don't have to "work" for a living and that have no other purpose in life than to love humans. I say this with every ounce of sincerity, but I have learned how to love from my dogs. I always feel overwhelmed by the amount of love and trust I've received from both Kibbo and Bailey and can't help but to feel like it must be a direct reflection of God's love for us! After all, they do say that "God spelled backwards is dog"...

haha but sacrilegious talk aside, I will honestly tell you, having a dog in your life is one of the most enriching experiences you can have in your lifetime. I think everyone should grow old with a dog. I guarantee we'd be much happier people.
